Why am I doing this?
Short answer: AI
Long answer: Have you noticed that when you Google something now, the first thing that pops up is an AI summary of the answer?
For the consumer, that's pretty awesome!
For bloggers and creators, this really stinks.
Google is optimizing AI and Reddit over small blogs. So now blogs that once ranked on Google are now not appearing until way down in Google rankings.
And, what is worse, is that the AI summary is stealing from those small blogs. Without someone putting in the work, AI would have nothing to work on.
Content creators get paid by clicks to their blogs. The more people who interact and spend on their pages, the more they get paid.
For some, this is their livelihood.
Fortunately for me, I don't rely on blogging to pay the bills, BUT it still cost money to run a website and an email subscriber list.
Websites used to pay me to guest blog for them but with AI taking over, a lot of them can't afford to do that anymore.
If I still want to blog and run my email list, I need to find a way to make more money to do that.
There comes the Membership.
